Andrew has experience over a broad range of employment law issues. He acts for clients in employment-related disputes at all levels, from mediation to Court of Appeal level. He also acts in an advisory capacity for clients across a range of sectors, including aged-care and power distribution, providing guidance on bargaining strategies, Privacy Act and Official Information Act requests, interactions with the Office of the Health and Disability Commissioner, compliance with Health and Safety in Employment Act obligations, and workforce transfers.
In addition to his local experience, Andrew has provided advice to clients across the spectrum of United Kingdom employment law while working for a leading international law firm in London.
Andrew has a particular interest in advising on restructuring and outsourcing programmes, employment issues arising from KiwiSaver legislation, employment investigations, and collective bargaining.
Andrew is a regular speaker at conferences on employment law issues, has been recommended by clients in The Legal 500 since 2014, has been a ranked individual in Chambers Asia Pacific since 2015, and is a recommended practitioner in the Doyles Guide.
